Provençal Coated Moustiers Blue — 71" Round

Moustiers-Sainte-Marie is one of those villages that doesn't feel entirely real. Perched on a cliff in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, with a star hanging on a chain between two rock faces above the rooftops. Nobody is entirely sure why the star is there. It's been there for centuries.

The village is famous for its pottery. Blue and white faïence, made here since the 17th century — birds, flowers, delicate scrollwork, the kind of pattern that ends up in museums and on the walls of old farmhouses alike. This tablecloth takes that same language and puts it on a round table.

The motif is precise. The blue reads against almost any setting — white walls, stone floors, dark wood, linen napkins. Set it outside for a summer dinner, bring it inside for a Sunday lunch. It is, in the most literal sense, a piece of Provence.
